Ekiti Police Deny Involvement in Apartment Break-in

The Ekiti State Police Command have clarified that it was not part of the security unit allegedly involved in a viral video showing armed operatives breaking into an apartment in Ado-Ekiti.

Despite the Command’s assurance that the police are committed to upholding the rule of law and protecting citizens’ rights, the incident has raised concerns about the activities of joint task forces in the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abutu Sunday, stated that the Command is aware of the circulating footage and has ordered a discreet investigation into the matter.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Eribo, has implored anyone with additional information to come forward and assist the police in their investigation.

The police have assured the public that the matter will be thoroughly examined and justice served. The Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in Ekiti State.
