Reject Coalition Gathered Under ADC, Wike Urges Nigerians

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has called on Nigerians to reject the coalition gathered under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing them as “naysayers and unpatriotic.”
Wike made this statement at the University of Port Harcourt’s 35th Combined Convocation and 50th Anniversary, where he was decorated with an Honorary Doctor of Science degree in Political Science.
Wike alleged that the coalition’s intention is to wrest power from President Bola Tinubu in 2027, despite their lack of achievement in past offices. He criticized their strategy of spreading lies and hate to tarnish the Tinubu-led government’s image.
Wike praised Tinubu’s administration, citing the steady drop in fuel prices and other positive initiatives. He urged the congregation to support the President, commending his commitment to the socio-economic well-being and prosperity of the country.
The Minister highlighted the impact of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly the establishment of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which aims to transform the tertiary education landscape and provide access to quality education for all.
Wike emphasized that the country is on a path of positive growth and encouraged Nigerians to reject the “purveyors of lies, hate, and division”.
