APC Appoints Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman in Leadership Shake-Up

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally appointed Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, as the new National Chairman of the party.
Prof. Yilwatda is an esteemed academic and technocrat who previously ran as the APC’s gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general elections in Plateau State. His appointment was confirmed during the NEC meeting held in Abuja, marking a new phase in the leadership of the APC as it prepares for upcoming political challenges.
He succeeds Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who resigned from the position reportedly for health reasons. Party leaders and stakeholders have shown confidence in Yilwatda’s ability to lead the party toward enhanced unity and internal stability.
Sources within the party indicate that Yilwatda’s appointment demonstrates the party’s dedication to fostering credible leadership and bolstering its grassroots presence, especially in the North-Central region.
