Zamfara Community Rallies Against Unrelenting Assaults, Demands Enhanced Security Measures

Inhabitants of Fegin Mahe, situated within Ruwan-Bore ward under the auspices of Gusau Local Government Area in Zamfara State, have orchestrated a peaceful demonstration at the Government House in Gusau, lamenting the deteriorating security conditions plaguing their locality.

The clearly distressed residents, who assembled in significant numbers, brandished placards, urging the state government to take prompt action to counter the relentless attacks by armed bandits, which have plunged their community into a state of trepidation and despondency.

They lamented the absence of a single security operative currently stationed in Fegin Mahe, rendering the entire community susceptible to recurrent attacks and criminal activities.

The protesters asserted that their march to the government house was a final recourse following what they described as months of silence and inaction.

In their discourse with Channels Television, a resident underscored the necessity for immediate deployment of security personnel.

They posited that the presence of law enforcement agents would serve as a deterrent to further attacks and restore tranquility to the beleaguered area.

They implored Governor Dauda Lawal and the state’s security agencies to promptly intervene and rescue their community from total disintegration.
