Lawmaker Lays Petition Against EFCC Over Alleged Collusion, Negligence

Honourable Ceci Oluwashio-Wingan, representing Badagry Federal Constituency in Lagos State, has laid a petition before the House of Representatives.

The petition, signed by Abdul-Amid Beilo, alleges collusion, negligence, and failure by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate multiple fraud petitions against Property World Africa Network P1 Real Estate Company.

The petition was referred to the Committee on Public Petitions after being laid before the House.

Oluwashio-Wingan drew attention to the alleged targeting and remand of a whistleblower, highlighting the need for investigation into the matter.

The petition accuses the EFCC of failing to act on fraud allegations against the real estate company, despite multiple petitions.

Oluwashio-Wingan’s action seeks to bring the EFCC’s handling of the case under scrutiny, potentially leading to further investigation and action.
