VP Shettima Arrives Katsina with Buhari’s Remains as President Tinubu Joins for Funeral

Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport in Katsina at exactly 1:53 p.m. on Monday, accompanying the remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari from London.

Shortly after, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also arrived in Katsina to attend the funeral rites of the late Nigerian leader. The state has begun preparations for a full state burial, with dignitaries and top government officials expected to pay their final respects.

The body of the former president was flown in aboard a presidential jet, marking the beginning of a solemn farewell for one of Nigeria’s most prominent political figures.
