Spain Probes Lamine Yamal Over Use of Dwarf Entertainers at 18th Birthday Bash

Barcelona football prodigy, Lamine Yamal is under investigation by Spanish authorities following reports that his recent 18th birthday celebration featured a group of individuals with dwarfism hired as entertainers.

Spain’s Ministry of Social Rights confirmed to AFP on Tuesday that a probe had been launched to assess whether the event violated any laws or ethics regarding the dignity and treatment of persons with disabilities.

The celebration, held over the weekend, has sparked criticism online after videos and photos allegedly showing the entertainers surfaced on social media.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of “promoting respect and inclusion” for people with disabilities, and said it would take appropriate action if any rights were violated.

As of now, Yamal or his representatives have not issued an official statement regarding the controversy.
