Fola Adeola, Ozekhome, Ministers to Lead Dialogue at AIHS 2025

Former Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank and founder of FATE Foundation, Fola Adeola, alongside constitutional lawyer Mike Ozekhome (SAN) and several African housing ministers, are set to lead high-level discussions at the 2025 edition of the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 1 in Abuja. The event, which will be held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, is themed “Reimagining Housing through Innovation, Collaboration, and Policy.” Adeola will deliver the keynote address on July 29, where he is expected to speak on unlocking the full potential of the housing value chain in Africa, with a focus on policy development, innovation, and job creation. Dr. Mike Ozekhome will serve as the Special Guest of Honour and deliver a goodwill message. He is expected to address the legal and constitutional challenges facing land administration and housing delivery in Nigeria and propose key reforms. The highlight of the event will be a ministerial roundtable featuring housing ministers from Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia, and Botswana. The session will bring together Nigeria’s Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa; Ghana’s Minister for Works and Housing, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei; Namibia’s Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa; and Botswana’s Minister of Infrastructure and Housing Development, Onneetse Ramogapi. Over 400 exhibitors and 50 speakers from more than 21 countries are expected to participate in AIHS 2025. The show will feature exhibitions, workshops, CEO forums, and investment match-making sessions. Special sessions will also spotlight women in construction, young real estate CEOs, and proptech innovations across Africa. The Africa International Housing Show is supported by key industry players and government institutions including Dangote Cement, Lafarge Africa, Family Homes Funds, Cosgrove, the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, and the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. Organisers say the 19th edition of AIHS will provide a platform for transformative dialogue, strengthen cross-border collaboration, and drive solutions toward addressing the continent’s growing housing deficit.
