Bandits Strike Again in Jos, Abduct Bunyun Palace Officials

Bandits have struck again in Plateau State, abducting three individuals, including two high-ranking officials from the palace, in the Bunyun community.
The attack, which occurred on Wednesday evening, left several homes in ashes and residents fleeing for safety.
The paramount ruler of the community, Abdulbari’u Muhammad, confirmed the incident, stating that the bandits arrived in large numbers, looting and burning properties.
The monarch identified the abducted officials as Waziri and Wakili, expressing concern over the community’s safety.
Residents have deserted the area, seeking refuge in nearby towns like Bashar. Muhammad appealed to the government to deploy adequate security personnel to enable farmers to tend to their crops and secure their livelihoods.
The community’s crops are already planted, and the absence of security could lead to significant losses.
This incident underscores the growing insecurity in Plateau communities, necessitating urgent government intervention to protect lives and property.
The authorities are yet to comment on the incident, leaving the community in a state of uncertainty and fear.
