Ganduje Appointed FAAN Board Chairman Days After Resigning as APC Chair on Health Grounds
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been appointed Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
This development comes just days after Ganduje resigned from his position as APC National Chairman, citing health and personal grounds.
The appointment was announced during the formal inauguration of newly appointed FAAN board members in Abuja.
Ganduje’s new role will oversee the management and development of Nigeria’s airports. This appointment is part of President Bola Tinubu’s recent appointments to various federal organizations, which include 42 board chairpersons and a secretary to the board of the civil defense, immigration, and prisons services.
Ganduje’s resignation as APC National Chairman led to the appointment of Ali Bukar Dalori as his replacement. The former Kano State Governor’s new role in FAAN is expected to bring new leadership and vision to the organization, which is responsible for managing Nigeria’s airports.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, unveiled Ganduje as the FAAN board chair, marking a new chapter in the former APC chairman’s career.
Details of Ganduje’s tenure and plans for FAAN are expected to unfold as he settles into his new role.
