Dangote Praises Tinubu on Bar Beach Land Reclamation
Billionaire industrialist, Aliko Dangote has penned an open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing his deep appreciation for the President’s visionary leadership on the Bar Beach Land Reclamation project in Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The project, which has transformed the coastline into an emerging new district with a defining skyline, has not only protected Victoria Island from coastal erosion but also given birth to a modern city, Eko Atlantic City, spanning 1,000 hectares.
Dangote praised the President’s foresightedness, citing the success of the Eko Atlantic City project, which is now being used for residential, business, and recreational purposes.
He also commended the President’s efforts in tackling perennial flooding in various parts of Lagos, including areas such as Ahmadu Bello Way and Adetokunbo Ademola Street.
The Dangote Group also appreciated the President’s infrastructure development initiatives, including the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway and the Sokoto-Badagry superhighway, which are significantly enriching the country’s stock of infrastructure and improving the national road network.
Dangote noted that the President’s visionary leadership has provided huge, consistent support for businesses, enabling a more prosperous nation for the collective good.
He also commended the President’s efforts in addressing the challenges posed by climate change, which has caused significant losses in lives and property due to rising sea levels and flash flooding.
In honor of the President’s vision, the Aliko Dangote Foundation plans to contribute to a Climate Fund that will target vulnerable parts of the country susceptible to natural disasters.
Dangote concluded by praying for the President’s continued success and prosperity for all Nigerians.
