President Tinubu Attends BRICS Summit in Brazil

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to participate in the 17th BRICS Summit, a gathering of leaders from emerging economies.

 

The summit brings together leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa to discuss global issues and strengthen cooperation among member countries.

 

During his visit, President Tinubu will engage in a bilateral meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva and participate in a plenary session where he will highlight Nigeria’s economic reforms.

 

The Nigerian leader will also meet with potential investors to explore opportunities in various sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, and renewable energy.

 

The BRICS Summit will focus on pressing global issues such as health, artificial intelligence, governance, and climate change. Leaders will discuss ways to promote inclusive and sustainable development, particularly for countries in the Global South.

 

A delegation of state governors, including Hyacinth Alia, Dapo Abiodun, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Sheriff Oborevwori, and Mohammed Umar Bago, will accompany President Tinubu to the summit
