Senator Ali Ndume Hints on Dumping APC Over President Tinubu’s Performance

Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South senatorial district, has hinted that he might leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) if President Bola Tinubu fails to address the country’s challenges.

Ndume, a vocal critic of the current administration, revealed that he has attended meetings with opposition groups exploring ways to unseat Tinubu in 2027.

While Ndume expressed his concerns about the country’s direction, he emphasized that he remains hopeful that Tinubu can still turn things around.

However, if the president’s performance doesn’t improve, Ndume warned that the party might face serious consequences.

Ndume also criticized recent defections to the APC, attributing them to the party’s tactics rather than genuine ideological alignment. He likened the situation to fixing a leaking house, suggesting that one should stay and repair it rather than abandoning it.

The senator’s comments have sparked discussions about the APC’s internal dynamics and the potential consequences of Tinubu’s leadership on the party’s future.

As the 2027 elections approach, Ndume’s remarks may signal growing discontent within the party’s ranks.
