Peter Obi Laments Demolition of Brother’s Property without Notice, Reason

In a shocking turn of events, Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has accused unknown individuals of demolishing a property belonging to his younger brother in Lagos without a valid court order.
According to Obi, who took to his verified X handle to disclose the incident on Tuesday, the property, owned by his brother’s company, had stood for over 15 years before it was suddenly demolished.
The former presidential candidate alleged that the demolition was carried out based on a vague court judgment that did not mention his brother, the property, or contain any demolition order.
Obi recounted the events leading up to the demolition, stating that his brother had called him in a state of distress, informing him that a group of people had invaded his company property in Ikeja, Lagos, and were demolishing the building. Despite his brother’s attempts to gain entry to the property, he was denied access by security personnel who claimed that the building was being pulled down pursuant to a court order.
Obi, who flew in from Abuja to witness the scene firsthand, was reportedly barred from entering the premises and was told that the demolition was being carried out based on a court order.
However, the Labour Party candidate has raised questions about the legitimacy of the court order, alleging that it did not specify the property or his brother’s company.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage and concerns about the rule of law and property rights in Nigeria. Obi’s allegations have also raised questions about the involvement of government agencies or individuals in the demolition of his brother’s property.
