Nigerian Comedian Laments State of £50 Room He Rented in London

In a viral video, a popular Nigerian Comedian Remote has expressed his shock and disappointment over the state of a £50 room he rented in London, which is equivalent to approximately N100,000 in Nigeria.
The comedian, who was visibly frustrated, compared the room to a “prisoner’s cell” and lamented that he could have gotten a better space in Nigeria for the same amount.
The video, which has been making the rounds on social media, shows the comedian standing in a cramped and sparsely furnished room, with barely enough space to move around.
He is heard saying, “Can you see this space? Once you stand up from here to this place, two people cannot be inside this room. I feel like a prisoner right now.”
The comedian, revealed that he had booked the room online without seeing it first and was shocked when he arrived to find the cramped conditions.
He expressed his disappointment, saying, “I was expecting a better space, but this is just a modern cell. Nigeria is big, Nigeria is sweet. 50 pounds is equivalent to 100,000 Naira, and look at the room. There’s no space.”
The video has sparked a conversation about the high cost of living in London and the challenges faced by individuals who are looking for affordable accommodation in the city. Many Nigerians have taken to social media to express their sympathy for the comedian and to share their own experiences of struggling to find affordable housing in London.
The incident has also highlighted the differences in the cost of living between Nigeria and the UK. While £50 may seem like a reasonable amount for a room in London, it is equivalent to a significant amount of money in Nigeria, where the same amount could potentially rent a larger and more comfortable space.
