Kano Governor, Abba Yusuf Returns from Hajj

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf received a rousing welcome upon his return from Saudi Arabia, where he performed the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.

Thousands of supporters from the New Nigeria People’s Party gathered at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport and along the route to the Government House to catch a glimpse of the governor.

The governor’s convoy was accompanied by a massive crowd that chanted solidarity songs and waved party flags. Yusuf, visibly pleased, waved at the crowd from his motorcade, acknowledging their cheers and show of support.

The Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Dahiru Hashim, attributed the massive turnout to the people’s satisfaction with the governor’s leadership and notable achievements.

These include the revival of abandoned institutions, continuation of scholarship schemes, upgrading of healthcare facilities, and development projects.

The commissioner expressed confidence in the governor’s ability to continue delivering results, saying, “The people of Kano are indeed satisfied with His Excellency’s transformation and infrastructural development.” The warm reception has boosted calls for the governor’s re-election in 2027.
