Trump to Iran: We Won’t Kill Khamenei—For Now
President Donald Trump has revealed that the United States knows the exact location of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but has chosen not to eliminate him at least for now.
In a post shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump described Khamenei as “an easy target” and issued a stark warning to Tehran over its continued missile strikes on civilians and U.S. personnel.
“We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now,” the president stated. “But our patience is wearing thin.”
Trump’s remarks come amid rising tensions in the Middle East following deadly exchanges between Iran and Israel. The U.S. has reportedly stepped up intelligence operations in the region while maintaining a public stance of restraint.
The president further called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” hinting at a major policy shift if provocations continue.
He confirmed ongoing consultations with top military and intelligence officials on possible response strategies.
Despite the strong rhetoric, White House sources say there are no current plans to target Khamenei, emphasizing that diplomatic channels and non-lethal measures remain the administration’s preferred tools.
Iran has not officially responded to Trump’s comments, but sources within Tehran report increased security around senior clerics and government sites.
Analysts warn that the situation remains highly volatile and any escalation could drag multiple nations into a broader conflict.
