Obasa Advocates Party Allegiance as APC Commences 2025 LG Election Campaign in Lagos

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has urged all members and aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to exhibit steadfast allegiance and endorse the party’s candidates in anticipation of the 2025 Local Government Elections.

During the official unveiling of candidates and commencement of the campaign on Monday, June 17, Obasa underscored the imperative of unity within the party, asserting that only a consolidated effort can secure triumph at the polls, particularly in opposition to rival parties such as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“We must adhere to the party,” Obasa proclaimed. “To all candidates and aspirants, let us comply with the party’s resolutions. Let us rally behind all our candidates.”

He acknowledged that while some aspirants might find the selection process disheartening, patience and dedication to the party would ultimately yield rewards.

“For those who exhibit patience, your opportunity may arise in four years. However, should you fail to support the party and act contrarily now, we shall await your return in four years.

“There is no room for animosity, discord, or ire within political parties. We are all members of one family. The fundamental purpose of political parties is to vie for power. If we begin to contend amongst ourselves, how can we prevail against our adversaries?” he queried.

He encouraged the party loyalists to commence preparations for the July 12 election and expressed gratitude to party leaders, executives, and supporters for their unwavering support.

“Congratulations to all our candidates, party chairpersons, executives, and devoted members. Thank you for the support you have rendered and the support you will extend on July 12 and thereafter. God bless you all,” Obasa concluded.
