Benue Declares Wednesday Work-free to Welcome President Tinubu

Benue State Government has declared Wednesday, June 18, a work-free day in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s scheduled visit to the state.
According to a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Deborah Aber, on Tuesday, the declaration is a mark of respect for the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
President Tinubu is expected to visit Benue State for a one-day tour, during which he will commiserate with the government and people of the state over the ongoing security challenges that have plagued the region.
While the work-free day applies to all residents of the state, essential services such as health workers, security agencies, and banks are exempted from the holiday.
The state government is urging all Benue residents to come out in large numbers to receive the President and his entourage, as a show of respect and hospitality.
The visit is seen as a significant gesture of solidarity by the federal government, and the state government is eager to showcase the warm hospitality that Benue State is known for.
Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful visit, and to cooperate with security agencies to ensure a peaceful and orderly reception for the President.
