Trump Warns Iran Will Face Full Military Strength of US if Attacked

In a stern warning to Iran, US President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that any country would face the “full strength” of the US military if it launches an attack on the United States.

Trump’s statement comes amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East, following Israel’s strikes on Iranian nuclear and intelligence facilities.

The Israeli operation, which began on Friday, has resulted in the deaths of dozens of people, including top army commanders and atomic scientists, according to Iranian officials.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue targeting “every target of the ayatollah regime”, while Iran has retaliated with a barrage of missiles.

Trump, who claimed to have been aware of the Israeli operation before it started, reiterated on his Truth Social platform that the United States “had nothing to do with the attack on Iran”. However, he warned Iran that if the US is attacked, it would face a severe response from the US Armed Forces.

“If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before,” Trump said in a post.

He also expressed his belief that a deal could be reached between Iran and Israel, stating “we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!”

This is not the first time Trump has weighed in on the conflict. On Friday, he urged Tehran to make a deal or face “even more brutal” attacks by Israel.

The US president’s comments are likely to be seen as an attempt to assert his influence on the situation, despite his administration’s complicated history with Iran.

In 2018, Trump unilaterally withdrew the US from a landmark nuclear accord with Iran, negotiated under former President Barack Obama, and reimposed sanctions on the country.

The move was widely criticized by international leaders and has been seen as a major contributor to the current tensions in the region.

As the situation continues to unfold, the international community is watching with bated breath, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. However, with Trump’s latest warning, it remains to be seen how Iran will respond, and what the consequences will be for the region and the world at large.
