Thunder Rally Past Pacers to Even NBA Finals 2–2
The Oklahoma City Thunder staged a stunning fourth-quarter comeback to defeat the Indiana Pacers 111–104 in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday night, tying the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.
Led by a brilliant performance from MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 34 points including 15 in the final five minutes the Thunder overturned a 10-point deficit in the third quarter to reclaim momentum heading back home for Game 5.
The tightly contested game, played in front of a roaring crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, saw both teams engage in a physically intense battle marked by a combined 71 free throw attempts.
Despite struggling from beyond the arc (just 3 made three-pointers), Oklahoma City leaned on aggressive drives, second-chance points, and clutch defense to overpower the Pacers late.
Tyrese Haliburton led Indiana with 26 points and 9 assists, while Myles Turner contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds. But a flurry of turnovers in the closing minutes proved costly, allowing the Thunder to go on a decisive 12–1 run to seal the victory.
Gilgeous-Alexander received support from Chet Holmgren, who tallied a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and from Alex Caruso and Jalen Williams, whose defensive tenacity disrupted Indiana’s rhythm.
With the win, the Thunder reclaim home-court advantage heading into a pivotal Game 5 at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City on Monday, June 16.
The NBA Finals now boil down to a best-of-three showdown, with both teams showing resilience and flashes of championship grit.
