BTS FESTA 2025 Ignites Reunion Buzz

Thousands of BTS fans from across the globe have gathered in South Korea to celebrate the K-pop supergroup’s 12th anniversary at their annual FESTA event, marking a major moment in the group’s journey as members begin returning from military service.

The two-day celebration, organized by BTS’s label HYBE, kicked off on June 13 at KINTEX 2 in Goyang, near Seoul. The event features interactive exhibits, themed zones including a Trophy Zone and Voice Zone, ARMY Bomb photo spots, hourly lightstick shows, and personal video messages from BTS members Jin and J-Hope.

The excitement is amplified by the recent discharge of members RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook from their mandatory military service. Suga, who has been serving an alternative duty due to health reasons, is expected to complete his service later in June.

Speculation is high that a full group comeback could be imminent, especially after J-Hope’s scheduled “Hope on the Stage” encore concert at the Goyang Sports Complex. Fans are particularly eager to see if Jungkook, who was discharged on June 11, will make a surprise appearance.

Despite the celebratory atmosphere, security concerns briefly emerged when a fan attempted to enter Jungkook’s apartment shortly after his return. Authorities intervened quickly, underscoring the intense passion and devotion of the global BTS fandom, known as ARMY.

Beyond the fanfare, BTS’s gradual return is expected to revitalize HYBE’s earnings, which had declined sharply during the group’s hiatus.

The group previously accounted for up to 95% of the company’s revenue, which dropped below 20% in their absence. Analysts predict a 71% surge in operating profit and a 150% growth in HYBE’s overall profits by 2026, largely driven by the anticipation of a global tour.

As FESTA 2025 continues, fans see the gathering not just as a tribute to BTS’s legacy but as the beginning of a new chapter one that could see the full group reunited and back on stage in the near future.
