Onanuga Expresses Gratitude, to Tinubu for Bestowing Honours on Him

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, expressed his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for bestowing upon him the prestigious national award of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).

This accolade, announced during the joint session of the National Assembly in observance of Democracy Day, acknowledged his pivotal contributions during the June 12 struggle and the establishment of democracy in the nation.

In a statement shared via his X account, formerly known as Twitter, Mr. Onanuga penned: “Thank you, Mr. President, for the national honors bestowed upon me and many of my colleagues, who ‘braved the odds and the guns’ to establish democracy and advocate for the de-annulment of the June 12 election outcome.

“I am sincerely appreciative of this recognition and shall persist in serving my country to the utmost of my capabilities.”
