My New Duty is to Give Tinubu’s Detractors High Blood Pressure

In a bold and unapologetic move, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has launched a scathing attack on critics of the APC-led administration, just 24 hours after entertaining President Bola Tinubu with impressive dance moves at the commissioning of the refurbished Abuja International Conference Centre.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way) and other roads in the Katampe District of the capital, Wike declared that his new role was to give President Tinubu’s detractors “high blood pressure”.

The 57-year-old former Rivers State Governor made it clear that he would ensure that the President’s accomplishments are broadcast on national television, making it impossible for critics to ignore.

“I’ll be happy, moving around, and laughing every time, and they’ll be there shouting, fighting, and killing themselves. So, Mr President, thank you for being part of this revolution,” Wike said, in a clear reference to the opposition.

Wike also expressed confidence that no political coalition could remove President Tinubu from office in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

“Your good works have killed the coalition. I was thinking that there’s a coalition truly, but when they continued seeing what’s happening every day, I told my people to make sure that every national television must hook in,” he said.

The commissioning of the roads marked the second day of a seventeen-day programme to inaugurate landmark projects completed within the first two years of President Tinubu’s administration.

The event was attended by President Tinubu, who was earlier honoured with the renaming of the Abuja International Conference Centre in his name.

In the meantime, Nigerians can expect to see more of President Tinubu’s accomplishments on national television, as Wike has vowed to ensure that every major network broadcasts the President’s successes.
