Fuel Subsidy Removal a Step in the Right Direction,Says Orji Kalu

Former Abia State Governor and Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, has emphasized that reinstating fuel subsidies in Nigeria would be a step backward, describing the previous subsidy regime as a “scam.”
Kalu praised President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies, stating that they will soon yield positive results and stabilize the nation’s economy.
According to Kalu, Tinubu has made significant progress in revitalizing the economy over the past two years. He urged Nigerians to rally behind the President’s initiatives, emphasizing that rebuilding the economy requires a collective effort.
Kalu noted that while the economy is showing signs of improvement at the top, it will take time for the benefits to trickle down to ordinary citizens.
Kalu attributed the current economic challenges to global inflation and the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which he believes will take several years to overcome.
However, he expressed confidence that Tinubu’s administration is working diligently to alleviate poverty and hunger.
As a concerned citizen, rather than a member of the President’s economic team, Kalu commended Tinubu’s efforts to address the nation’s economic woes.
He believes that with time, the President’s policies will yield positive outcomes and improve the lives of Nigerians.
