Sean Combs’ Ex-Girlfriend For Cross-Examination Over Allegations in Federal Trial

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial took a dramatic turn this week as his defense team prepared to cross-examine a woman who dated the music mogul from 2021 until his arrest in late 2024.

Known only as “Jane” in court proceedings, the woman has delivered graphic and emotional testimony describing how she was allegedly manipulated, drugged, and coerced into participating in sex acts with male escorts—often at Combs’ direction.

The proceedings, held in a Manhattan federal courtroom, have already featured testimony from several individuals, but Jane’s account has emerged as one of the most detailed and disturbing thus far.

Her testimony has become central to the prosecution’s effort to portray Combs not only as a manipulative partner but as a serial abuser who weaponized his wealth, fame, and control to exploit multiple women.

According to Jane, Combs repeatedly pressured her into what were described in court as “freak-offs”—drug- and alcohol-fueled group sex encounters in upscale hotel suites.

She testified that these sessions often involved male escorts, and that Combs would observe, film, and sometimes direct the encounters, regardless of her discomfort or protests.

“He told me what to do, how to do it, when to do it,” Jane testified. “It felt like there was no way out.”

She further alleged that Combs leveraged his financial support—paying her rent and covering legal expenses—as a means of control. When she hesitated or tried to back away, she said, he would remind her of everything he had “done for her” and, on at least one occasion, threatened to leak intimate recordings if she did not comply.

Jane’s testimony echoes that of Cassie Ventura, Combs’ former longtime partner, who filed a civil lawsuit in 2023 alleging similar abuse and coercion. That case was settled quickly, but Jane told the court that reading Ventura’s filing had a profound impact on her.

“It was like reading my own sexual trauma,” she said.

Combs’ legal team has aggressively contested the charges, asserting that all sexual activities between Combs and his partners were consensual. They claim that Jane was a willing participant in a shared, unconventional lifestyle—and that her testimony misrepresents their relationship.

The defense is expected to use Tuesday’s cross-examination to cast doubt on Jane’s credibility, including why she remained in the relationship for years and why she did not report the alleged abuse until after Combs’ arrest.

Additionally, the defense has filed a motion for a mistrial, arguing that some witness statements introduced by the prosecution were misleading and unfairly prejudicial. The court has yet to rule on that motion.

Now entering its fifth week, the trial is one of the most high-profile celebrity cases in recent memory, drawing comparisons to past trials involving powerful men accused of sexual exploitation.

Federal prosecutors have charged Combs with a range of offenses, including sex trafficking, transporting individuals for prostitution, and conspiracy.

The case has sparked broader conversations about consent, power dynamics in celebrity relationships, and the abuse of influence in the entertainment industry.

With cross-examination underway, all eyes will be on how “Jane” holds up under questioning. Legal analysts say her credibility could prove decisive in shaping the jury’s view of the broader allegations against Combs.

Additional witnesses are expected to testify in the coming weeks, potentially including other women who allege similar experiences with the hip-hop mogul.

Combs has denied all wrongdoing and continues to maintain his innocence.
