Ireland Deports 35 Nigerians Ovee Immigration Offences

The Irish government has deported 35 Nigerian nationals from the country.

The deportation, which was carried out on Thursday, is part of Ireland’s efforts to tackle immigration-related crimes and maintain the integrity of its immigration system.

According to reports, the 35 Nigerians were deported for various immigration-related offences, including overstaying their visas, working without permits, and providing false documentation.

The deportees were flown out of Dublin Airport on a chartered flight, accompanied by Irish immigration officials and security personnel.

The Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) stated that the deportations were carried out in accordance with the country’s immigration laws and regulations.

“The individuals who were deported had been found to have committed serious immigration offences, including overstaying their visas and working without permits.

“We will continue to take firm action against individuals who commit immigration offences, including deportation and prosecution,” said a spokesperson for the INIS.

The deportation of the 35 Nigerians is part of a larger effort by the Irish government to tackle immigration-related crimes. In recent years, Ireland has seen an increase in immigration-related offences, including human trafficking and sham marriages.

The government has vowed to take tough action against individuals who commit these crimes, and to protect the integrity of the country’s immigration system.

The Nigerian government has reacted to the deportation of its citizens, stating that it is in touch with the Irish government to ensure that the rights of the deportees are protected.

“We are working closely with the Irish government to ensure that the rights of our citizens are protected,” said a spokesperson for the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“We also urge our citizens to respect the immigration laws and regulations of their host countries, and to avoid engaging in activities that could lead to their deportation,” he said.

The deportation of the 35 Nigerians is likely to have implications for relations between Ireland and Nigeria. The two countries have traditionally enjoyed good relations, with Ireland providing significant development aid to Nigeria. However, the deportation of Nigerian citizens could strain relations between the two countries, particularly if it is perceived as being unfair or discriminatory.

The Irish government has advised Nigerian citizens in Ireland to ensure that they comply with the country’s immigration laws and regulations. “We urge all individuals in Ireland to respect the country’s immigration laws and regulations,” said a spokesperson for the INIS. “We will continue to take firm action against individuals who commit immigration offences, including deportation and prosecution.”

The deportation of the 35 Nigerians brings the total number of Nigerians deported from Ireland this year to 150. The INIS has stated that it will continue to work closely with other law enforcement agencies to identify and deport individuals who are in Ireland illegally.
