2027: We’ll Support Tinubu, As We Now Understand His Message of Hope, Assures South-East Unity Forum
In a landmark political development ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, the South-East Unity Forum (SEUF), a prominent socio-political organization representing interests in the South-Eastern region, has formally declared its support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential bid.
The group said they have come to fully understand and appreciate Tinubu’s message of hope, national unity, and inclusive governance.
Addressing the press on Thursday, SEUF’s National Spokesman, Mr. Chinedu Eze, explained that the group’s initial reservations about Tinubu’s candidature have been dispelled after extensive consultations and a clearer comprehension of his vision for Nigeria.
“For a long time, there has been skepticism about candidates from outside our region, especially given the complex historical and political dynamics in Nigeria. However, after reviewing Tinubu’s articulated plans and his repeated calls for unity and progress, we believe his leadership offers a fresh chance for national cohesion and development,” Eze stated.
He added that SEUF’s endorsement is grounded in the hope that Tinubu’s administration will prioritize equitable distribution of resources, regional inclusion, and genuine efforts toward reconciliation among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic groups.
Political observers see this endorsement as a pivotal moment, reflecting growing cross-regional cooperation in a country often divided by ethnic and political lines.
