Russian Drone Attack Kills Infant, Family Members

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky has decried a devastating drone attack in central Ukraine, resulting in the loss of three lives from the same family, including an infant.

The fatalities were caused by a drone strike that targeted a residential area in the city of Pryluky.

President Zelensky condemned the actions of Moscow, stating that they were attempting to prolong the conflict to continue their aggressive pursuits.

He urged Western nations to impose stringent penalties and apply intense pressure on Moscow to cease their hostile activities.

The incident in Pryluky claimed the lives of five individuals, including a local firefighting chief’s family members.

The chief’s wife, daughter, and one-year-old grandson perished in the attack, which occurred while he was responding to a separate incident.

Ukrainian President, Zelensky, emphasized that Moscow’s actions were a result of the lack of strong condemnation from the global community.

He called upon the United States, Europe, and other nations to take decisive action to bring an end to the devastating circumstances.

The escalation of violence comes despite recent talks between the two sides in Istanbul, aimed at finding a resolution to the ongoing conflict.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed to respond to a recent Ukrainian drone attack that destroyed several Russian military jets, as conveyed to US President Donald Trump during a recent phone call.

Meanwhile, another attack in the northeastern city of Kharkiv has left 18 people injured, including four children, according to Interior Minister Igor Klymenko.

The conflict, which began in February 2022, has resulted in significant loss of life, destruction of infrastructure, and displacement of millions of people.
