You are A Mole, Nasarawa APC Accuses Hassan Abdullahi After Resignation

The Nasarawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the resignation of former Minister of Environment, Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi, describing him as a “mole” and an “untrustworthy politician”.

The party said his departure poses no threat to its structure or success, and instead, is a welcome development.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Lafia by the party’s state publicity secretary, High Chief Otaru Douglas, the APC expressed relief and joy over Abdullahi’s departure.

The party stated that Abdullahi’s “overbearing influence” would no longer be a burden on the party, and that his exit is a “celebration” for the APC.

According to the statement, Abdullahi’s actions and behavior had long indicated his disloyalty to the party. His consistent hobnobbing with opposition members and opposition to Governor Abdullahi A Sule’s administration for personal reasons demonstrated his lack of fidelity to the party’s ideals.

The APC stated that Abdullahi was never an asset to the party, but rather a liability. “The APC is a winning team and has no regrets losing him. He was never an asset but rather a liability,” the statement read.

The party also cautioned any party that might consider welcoming Abdullahi to beware of the potential political disaster that may follow. “His ingratitude and fair-weather approach to politics, staying only when it pleases him and assuming the role of a mole otherwise, make him an untrustworthy politician,” the statement said.

The APC quoted a Hausa maxim that says “Better to stay with a thief than a hypocrite,” which the party said aptly describes Abdullahi’s actions. The party expressed relief at being rid of him and wished him farewell.
