Akpabio Hails President Tinubu’s Vision as Section of Coastal Road is Commissioned

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership and vision, saying that the President has proven to have both sight and vision.
Akpabio made this statement during the commissioning of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, a project that is expected to boost economic growth and development in the region.
Akpabio, who was full of praises for the President, recalled a story about Helen Keller, a young blind girl who achieved great things despite her disability.
He noted that Keller had said that having sight but no vision is worse than being blind, and that President Tinubu is a leader who has both sight and vision.
The Senate President also advised governors, particularly those in their second term, not to give power to individuals who are not prepared for governance.
He warned that such actions can lead to betrayal and disappointment.
Akpabio commended the efforts of the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, who he said is doing a great job in developing the state.
He noted that Ogun State is competing with Lagos in terms of economic growth, with foreign direct investment of over $5 billion and a new international airport.
The Senate President also praised the Minister of Works for his role in the development of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, saying that he has shown that his success as a governor was not a fluke.
The commissioning of the first 30 kilometers of the 750-kilometer road is seen as a significant milestone in the project, which is divided into six sections.
Akpabio expressed confidence that the project will be completed soon, and that it will have a positive impact on the economy and the lives of Nigerians.
In a lighter moment, Akpabio broke into song, singing “Things are getting better for Nigeria” and congratulating President Tinubu on his leadership. The event was attended by top government officials, including the Minister of Works and the Governor of Ogun State.
