You Sacrificed My Mother, Now My Life, Kids in Danger, Eno’s Daughter Accuses Akwa Ibom Governor

In a startling and unsettling video shared on social media, Jane Edidiong Ufot, the daughter of Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno, has accused her father, asserting his involvement in the demise of her mother, the late first lady Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno.
The governor’s wife passed away in September 2024 due to an undisclosed illness.
Mrs. Ufot, who holds the position of senior special adviser to the governor on health, safety, and environment, fervently denied being a potential sacrifice, stating, “I’m not a sacrifice; mummy was, but I’m not.”
She alleged that her life and that of her young daughter are imperiled, and she harbours grave concerns for their safety.
In the video, Mrs. Ufot handed her phone to her daughter, who appeared to be engaged in a video call with Governor Eno. The child was instructed to inquire of her grandfather whether he intended to harm her, to which she asked, “So, Grandpa, do you want them to kill us? Do you want them to die like my baby brother died?”
The governor’s response was inaudible, and it remains ambiguous whom the child was referencing when she mentioned “them.”
Mrs. Ufot articulated her apprehensions about her safety, asserting that her life is endangered due to certain revelations that may soon emerge.
She professed, “If I die today or my daughter perishes, if we die because God is unveiling the truth, so be it. But my blood will not go scot-free.”
Attempts to procure a comment from Governor Eno or his media aide, Ekerete Udoh, proved futile, as the aide’s phone line was unreachable.
The allegations made by the governor’s daughter have ignited widespread concern and prompted inquiries about the circumstances surrounding the demise of the late first lady.
