Renowned Monarch Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale Passes On at 86
The Epe Kingdom is in mourning following the demise of its revered leader, Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, who breathed his last on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at the age of 86.
High Chief Musiliu Adeniyi, the Odedeogboro Balogun of Epe Kingdom, has verified the monarch’s passing, stating that the funeral proceedings will take place later today, in line with Islamic customs. The burial is scheduled for 4 pm.
Oba Adewale, the 19th ruler of the kingdom, had a distinguished career before ascending to the throne.
He previously held the esteemed position of Otun-Balogun and later rose to the rank of Balogun. In his professional life, he served as a Director of Administration in the Ministry of Education and also held the position of Executive Secretary at the Ministry of Lands.
His legacy will be remembered and honored by the people of Epe Kingdom.
