Bury Political Differences, Unite to Support Tinubu’s Reforms, Ortom Advocates

Former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has urged Nigerians to transcend their political differences and unite in endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, particularly in its endeavors to reform the nation.

Ortom’s remarks were delivered during a visit to Abuja, where he surveyed ongoing projects alongside the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

Ortom underscored the necessity of collective backing for governmental initiatives, stating, “President Tinubu cannot remedy Nigeria’s challenges alone. We must collaborate with him, surpassing partisan boundaries, and support initiatives that serve the nation’s interests. Let us put politics aside and rally behind what is beneficial for the country.”

The former governor conveyed his admiration for the developments he observed in Abuja, lauding Minister Wike’s leadership.

“I have witnessed several FCT ministers in the past, but this is the first occasion I have seen such monumental progress in Abuja.

“I am proud of what my friend and colleague, Nyesom Wike, is accomplishing. The fact that President Tinubu appointed Wike, an opposition figure, to this position exemplifies his dedication to leadership and competence over political allegiance,” Ortom remarked.

Ortom also extolled the construction of the Kugbo and Mabushi terminals, accentuating the significant advancements being made in the FCT under Wike’s stewardship.

His statements highlight the imperative for unity and cooperation in supporting the government’s efforts to propel positive transformation in Nigeria.
