M-Kaze, Notorious Kidnapper Killed by Rivers Police

The Rivers State Police Command has reported that its operatives have successfully neutralized David Uzoma Kamalu, an alleged kidnapper, at a concealed location within the Rumuodogu community.
Kamalu, known by the alias M-Kaze, was infamous for perpetrating egregious crimes against unsuspecting citizens.
Grace Iringe-Koko, the police spokesperson for Rivers, issued a statement detailing that Kamalu met his end during an operation conducted last Sunday.
She recounted that Kamalu’s associates engaged the police in a fierce exchange of gunfire.
“During the confrontation, M-Kaze was neutralized, while several of his cohort managed to flee, albeit with varying degrees of gunshot injuries,” the statement declares.
“A meticulous search of the hideout revealed a trove of incriminating evidence, including: a pump-action shotgun; two live cartridges; and assorted local charms, presumably employed for protection and intimidation purposes.”
“The deceased suspect, M-Kaze, was a high-value target, notorious for orchestrating egregious crimes against innocent civilians. Due to his reprehensible acts and notorious leadership of a kidnapping syndicate, a bounty was placed upon M-Kaze’s head by the former chairman of Emohua Local Government Area.
This declaration underscores the severe threat he posed to the community’s safety and security.
Law enforcement agencies had declared him wanted for his involvement in the brutal murder and decapitation of a local security operative, colloquially known as ‘Hunter Commander,’ Mr. Alete, in January 2025, alongside numerous high-profile kidnappings and armed robberies along the East-West Road corridor, instilling terror among residents and travelers.”
