Eulogies for Oborevwori as He Marks 2 Years in Office

The administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori marked its second anniversary yesterday, with prominent stakeholders and citizens of the state commending the governor’s efforts in transforming the state’s landscape.

In a press statement, Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and former Commissioner for Finance, described the governor’s first two years in office as “impactful” and a sign of “better things to come.”

Okumagba praised the governor’s infrastructural development projects, particularly in Warri, Uvwie, and environs, where several bridges and road projects are underway.

“The governor has changed the landscape of Delta State with his investments in roads, bridges, and other infrastructure across the state. I am particularly pleased with his work in Warri, Uvwie, and environs, where the outstanding infrastructural projects, including bridges, will address traffic congestion and change the aesthetics of the area upon completion,” Okumagba said.

Okumagba commended the governor for delivering on his campaign promises, particularly his MORE agenda, which aims to bring more economic and social progress to the people of Delta State.

He expressed confidence in the governor’s ability to continue delivering on the people’s expectations and advised him not to rest on his oars.

The former commissioner also praised the governor’s efforts in attracting investment and providing jobs for young Deltans.

He emphasized the need to build structures that stimulate job creation and commended the government’s efforts in skills development and credit support.

Okumagba, however, urged the government to scale up these efforts into an integrated plan that engages local and foreign investors to create a massive impact on job creation and economic growth.

“To take advantage of our huge natural resources, we need to attract new investments, especially in manufacturing and processing.

“With the improvement in infrastructure, Delta State can become the economic production hub of Nigeria,” Okumagba said.

The governor’s administration has indeed made significant progress in the past two years, with several infrastructural projects, including roads, bridges, and buildings, either completed or underway.

The government has also made efforts to improve the state’s economy, attract investment, and provide jobs for young Deltans.

As Delta State celebrates two years of progress under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, citizens of the state are hopeful that the governor will continue to deliver on his promises and take the state to greater heights. With the governor’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance, the people of Delta State are optimistic about the future of their state.
