Kaduna Witnesses Transformational Development Under Gov Sani
Kaduna State has witnessed significant infrastructure development under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, with the recent completion of a major road project in Unguwan Sarki, a community in Kaduna North local government area.
The newly tarred road, which was previously in a state of disrepair, has brought relief to residents and businesses in the area.
According to Alhaji Ibrahim Isa, the Sarkin Unguwan Sarki, the road’s renovation has transformed the community, making it a bustling hub of activity once again. The road, which leads to the Sultan of Sokoto’s Kaduna residence, was abandoned by previous administrations, leaving the community to grapple with dust and neglect.
Youth leader Aliyu Faruk seized the opportunity to appeal to Governor Uba Sani to address the community’s water scarcity challenges, which were exacerbated by the destruction of water pipes during the Urban Renewal Programme. In response, the Governor revealed that his administration has invested over N100 billion in addressing water scarcity across the state, with over N400 million spent on repairing and replacing damaged water infrastructure.
The Governor assured that efforts are underway to ensure uninterrupted water supply in Kaduna by the end of the year. The Chairman of Kaduna North local government, Alhaji Muhammad Gambo, expressed his gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for his developmental initiatives in the area, naming the newly constructed road after him in appreciation.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Sani Abdul Zangon Aya, Chairman of Igabi local government, praised the Governor for his administration’s projects in the area, including the construction of the Rafin Guza-Malalin Gabas road, which has reduced travel time to Kawo. He noted that Igabi local government has benefited from the establishment of a Science Secondary School and a Vocational and Skills Acquisition Centre, which will serve not only Kaduna citizens but also other Nigerians.
