Buhari Congratulates Tinubu, Throws Weight Behind Reforms

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the successful completion of his second year in office, urging Nigerians to support the ongoing reforms driving the nation forward.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari commended Tinubu’s leadership amid challenging economic and security conditions.

He acknowledged the hardships faced by many Nigerians, especially the vulnerable, but stressed that the reforms initiated by the current administration are essential for sustainable growth.

“Transformative changes take time and require patience,” Buhari said. “It is important for all Nigerians government, private sector, and citizens alike to unite behind the reform agenda aimed at tackling poverty, inflation, and economic diversification.”

He also cautioned against letting political differences undermine the progress being made, emphasizing that national unity is crucial to Nigeria’s development.

“As President Tinubu marks this milestone, I wish him continued wisdom and success in leading the country towards a brighter future,” Buhari concluded.

The Tinubu administration has launched several initiatives focusing on economic stabilization, security enhancement, and infrastructure development. Buhari’s call for collective support underlines the need for cooperation as Nigeria strives to overcome its challenges.
