Uzodinma Sacks State Attorney General

Governor Hope Uzodimma’s government in Imo State has undergone a significant shake-up with the ousting of Cyprian Akaolisa from his position as the state’s Attorney general and commissioner for justice.
A release from the office of the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, confirmed the development, stating that Akaolisa has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
As part of the transition process, the former Attorney General has been instructed to transfer all state assets and documents under his control to the State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, in a prompt and orderly manner.
Although the decision to remove Akaolisa was made by Governor Hope Uzodimma, the underlying reasons behind this move have not been made public, leaving speculation about the circumstances surrounding his departure.
