Tinubu Lands in Lagos, Set for 50th ECOWAS Anniversary

President Bola Tinubu has landed in Lagos, setting the stage for a significant regional celebration.
His arrival at Murtala Mohammed International Airport was met with a warm welcome from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who led a delegation to receive him.
A ceremonial salute was also rendered in honor of the president. As the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States, President Tinubu is poised to commemorate the organization’s five decades of existence alongside other prominent leaders.
According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu will shed light on the regional bloc’s notable achievements during the festivities.
During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu is scheduled to launch several key infrastructure projects, including a major highway and a deep-sea port facility.
He will also initiate the construction of another section of the highway and a vital road network.
Before departing for the nation’s capital, President Tinubu will participate in Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the State House in Dodan Barracks.
