Nasarawa Will Give Nigeria First Electric Car

Nasarawa State is poised to become the hub of Nigeria’s automotive industry with the production of the country’s first electric car.

This innovative project is being championed by the state government, led by Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe.

According to Dr. Akabe, the state government has partnered with a leading automotive manufacturer to establish a state-of-the-art assembly plant in Lafia, the state capital.

The plant, which is expected to be operational soon, will produce eco-friendly electric cars that will not only reduce the country’s carbon footprint but also provide jobs for thousands of Nigerians.

“We are excited to embark on this revolutionary project, which will not only put Nasarawa State on the map but also contribute significantly to the growth of Nigeria’s economy.

“Our vision is to make Nasarawa State the leading producer of electric cars in West Africa, and we are committed to making this vision a reality,” Dr. Akabe said during a press conference in Lafia.

The deputy governor revealed that the state government has provided a conducive environment for the project to thrive, including the provision of land, infrastructure, and incentives for investors.

He also disclosed that the assembly plant will have the capacity to produce up to 10,000 electric cars per annum, with plans to increase production in the future.

The production of electric cars in Nasarawa State is expected to have a significant impact on the environment, as it will reduce the country’s dependence on fossil fuels and minimize air pollution.

It will also provide a boost to the state’s economy, as it will create jobs, stimulate economic growth, and attract investments.

Dr. Akabe expressed his appreciation to the state governor, Abdullahi Sule, for his support and vision in making the project a reality.

He also commended the investors and partners who have shown confidence in the project, pledging that the state government will do everything possible to ensure its success.

The production of Nigeria’s first electric car in Nasarawa State is a significant milestone in the country’s automotive industry, and it is expected to pave the way for the development of a thriving electric vehicle market in the country.

As the project takes off, Nigerians can expect to see a new era of innovation, job creation, and economic growth in the state and beyond.
