DSS Boss Construction of Islamic Center Will Enhance Knowledge for Disadvantaged

Nigeria’s top security chief, Oluwatosin Ajayi, has made a significant contribution to the educational development of disadvantaged children in Kaduna State with the construction of a state-of-the-art Islamic centre.
This gesture, dedicated to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aims to provide a conducive learning environment for orphans and less-privileged members of the Danbushiya community in Millennium City.
Ajayi’s representative, Ahmed Zalmar, a retired DSS Director, inaugurated the centre, known as Darul-Ilm Centre for Islamic Studies, which also hosted the graduation ceremony of 22 Quranic students.
The DSS boss emphasized that his commitment to supporting vulnerable groups is a strategic approach to fostering national security and stability.
According to Ajayi, the DSS is empowered by law to prevent major threats to internal security, including espionage, insurgency, and terrorism.
He noted that reducing areas of discontent among the populace is crucial in preventing subversion and promoting national cohesion.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Dr Muhammad Abubakar, commended Ajayi’s initiative, describing it as a symbol of unity and interfaith harmony. Abubakar stressed the importance of education in overcoming Nigeria’s challenges and promoting peaceful coexistence.
Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, also praised the President’s support for faith-based education initiatives, noting that Nigeria’s future prosperity depends on investing in human capital.
Edun encouraged private sector investment in education, citing the President’s policies aimed at stabilizing the economy and promoting job creation.
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, represented by his Deputy, Hadiza Balarabe, lauded the DSS Director General’s vision and selflessness, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to addressing poverty, insecurity, and inequality through education.
