WAEC Students in Unity School Asaba Forced to Write Exams in Darkness

A shocking incident has come to light at Unity School in Asaba, where students were forced to write their West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exams at night without electricity.

The school administration has been accused of bringing the exam papers at 6 pm, leaving students to struggle through the exam in darkness.

According to eyewitnesses, the students were left to write their exams using flashlights, which made it extremely difficult for them to read and write.

The lack of adequate lighting and the unusual timing of the exam have raised serious concerns about the school’s preparedness and the potential impact on the students’ performance.

The incident has sparked outrage among parents, educators, and the general public, with many calling for the Minister of Education to intervene and take immediate action.

There are demands for the principal of Unity School in Asaba to be summoned for questioning, as well as the top officials of WAEC, to explain the circumstances surrounding this unacceptable situation.

“This is a clear case of negligence and a breach of the students’ rights. How can you expect students to perform well in an exam when they are writing in the dark? It’s unacceptable and the school administration must be held accountable,” said a concerned parent.

The Minister of Education has been urged to launch a thorough investigation into the matter and take disciplinary action against those responsible.

The WAEC authorities have also been called upon to review their procedures and ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future.

As the news continues to spread, there are growing concerns about the welfare and future of the students who were affected by this incident.

The incident has highlighted the need for greater oversight and accountability in the education sector, and the importance of ensuring that students are provided with a safe and conducive learning environment.

The incident is currently trending on social media, with many Nigerians expressing their outrage and disappointment.
