Security Attracts Investment, Drives Economic Growth, Says Atiku

Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, has stressed the crucial role of security in attracting investments and driving economic growth.

He made this assertion while speaking at the Taraba International Investment Summit, tagged ‘Taravest,’ held in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, on Wednesday.

Atiku noted that a stable and secure business environment is essential for luring investors and fostering economic development.

He expressed optimism about Taraba State’s economic potential, highlighting its vast opportunities for investment, particularly in the areas of agriculture, solid minerals, and tourism.

The former Vice President urged the government to prioritize the creation of a secure and stable investment climate, which would enable the state to reap the benefits of its economic potential.

He emphasized the need for measures to address investment risks and eliminate bottlenecks that may hinder the growth of businesses in the state.

“A stable and secure business environment is not only crucial for attracting investments, but it is also essential for economic growth.

“Taraba State has significant investment potential, and with the right policies and measures in place, it can become a hub for economic activity in the region,” Atiku said.

Atiku’s remarks were made in the presence of government officials, investors, and stakeholders at the summit, which aimed to showcase Taraba State’s investment opportunities and promote economic development in the region.

The Taraba State government has been working to improve the state’s investment climate, and Atiku’s comments are seen as a call to action to intensify efforts in this regard. By emphasizing the importance of security.

Atiku has underscored the need for a collaborative approach between the government, private sector, and other stakeholders to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with economic challenges, Atiku’s message serves as a reminder of the critical role that security plays in driving economic growth and development.
