Sanwo-Olu Swears In Eight New Permanent Secretaries, Assigns Portfolios to the

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sworn in eight newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, reinforcing leadership across key ministries and agencies.

The new appointees are:

Mr. Olanrewaju Bajulaye – Ministry of Arts, Tourism and Culture
Dr. (Mrs.) Abiola Idowu – Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA)
Mrs. Aderinsola Olanrewaju – Citizens Mediation Bureau
Mr. Tajudeen Mahmud – Ministry of Finance
Mr. Wasiu Agbabiaka – Civil Service Commission

Mr. Adebayo Olayinka – Ministry of Wealth Creation
Arch. Gbolahan Oki – Urban Development, Ministry of Physical Planning
Mrs. Ajibike Onigbanjo – Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation

Governor Sanwo-Olu charged the new Permanent Secretaries to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and commitment to good governance. He emphasized the importance of excellent service delivery in line with his administration’s THEMES+ developmental agenda.

“These appointments are vital for ensuring the efficiency and continuity of our civil service while also reflecting our ongoing commitment to fostering excellence and maintaining high standards within the public sector,” the Governor stated.

With these appointments, Governor Sanwo-Olu has sworn in a total of 111 Permanent Secretaries since the inception of his administration in 2019, marking the highest number in the state’s history.

The Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, noted that the appointments aim to revitalize the state’s policy implementation apparatus to improve effective and efficient service delivery.

Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, Mrs. Aderinsola Olanrewaju expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for the opportunity to serve and assured that they would work diligently to advance the THEMES+ agenda and contribute to the progress of Lagos State.

The swearing-in ceremony underscores the administration’s commitment to strengthening the state’s public service and ensuring that the values of excellence, accountability, and service delivery remain at the heart of governance in Lagos State.
