Nigerian Pastor Predicts Atiku-Obi Alliance Will Oust President Tinubu in 2027

A prominent pastor in Nigeria, Adewale Giwa, has predicted that a joint ticket featuring former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election, unseating incumbent President Bola Tinubu.

According to Pastor Giwa, the current administration’s policies, particularly the removal of fuel subsidies, have largely benefited the wealthy and politicians at the expense of the general population.

The pastor’s remarks come as Obi clarified his involvement in the opposition coalition, stating that his goal is to combat poor governance, hunger, and poverty, rather than pursuing personal political ambitions.

Obi’s statement was in response to reports of an alleged agreement to serve as Atiku’s running mate in the upcoming election.

Pastor Giwa attributed President Tinubu’s 2023 electoral success to destiny, suggesting that the opposition’s failure to unite was a contributing factor.

However, he believes that a united front led by Atiku and Obi could potentially defeat the incumbent president in 2027. The pastor warned that if Obi declines to be Atiku’s running mate, President Tinubu may retain his position.
