HOW MR PRESIDENT BROKE PROTOCOL FOR HIS ADC

In leadership courses, there’s an aspect called servant-leader disposition. I remember the late President Umar Yar’adua emphasised this quality during his short-lived administration.

Yesterday, during the meeting of President Tinubu with the Alaafin of Oyo and some Yoruba traditional rulers, this leadership concept was interestingly displayed.

While the President was thanking the Alaafin for fostering peace and harmony among Yoruba traditional rulers, his Aide-de-camp, who doubles as the Elemona-elect, interjected.

I was first shocked about what the reactions of his Boss, Mr President, would be and what the consequences of interjecting the speech of a whole President of the nation would look like.

You know why? The ADC breached fundamental protocol. When the President is talking, nobody, no matter whom you are, dare talk, let alone interject or disrupt his speech.
