First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has empowered 50 women and school farmers in Zamfara State in pursuit of her national programme.

The empowerment program, which held in Gusau, the state capital, aimed to equip the beneficiaries with the necessary skills and resources to engage in profitable farming and entrepreneurship.

During the event, the First Lady distributed farm inputs, including seeds, fertilizers, and farming equipment, to the beneficiaries. She also provided them with training on modern farming techniques, business management, and marketing strategies.

Senator Tinubu, who was represented by a delegation from her office, emphasized the importance of women’s economic empowerment and the role it plays in reducing poverty and promoting sustainable development.

“We believe that empowering women is crucial to achieving economic growth and reducing poverty in our society.

“By providing these women with the necessary skills and resources, we are confident that they will be able to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the development of their communities,” she said.

The beneficiaries, who were selected from various local government areas of the state, expressed their gratitude to the First Lady for the empowerment program.

They pledged to utilize the resources and training provided to improve their farming activities and become self-sufficient.

The Zamfara State Governor, who was also present at the event, commended the First Lady for her initiative and commitment to empowering women in the state. He assured her that the state government would provide the necessary support to ensure the success of the program.

The empowerment program is part of the First Lady’s broader initiative to promote women’s economic empowerment and agricultural development across the country. Similar programs have been held in other states, with thousands of women benefiting from the initiative.
