Dangote Refinery Reduces Gantry Price of Petrol to N825 Per Liter

The Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the gantry price of petrol, effective immediately.

The new price, which has been slashed to N825 per litre, is a major departure from the current market rate and is expected to have far-reaching implications for the industry.

According to a statement released by the refinery, the decision to reduce the gantry price was made possible by the company’s commitment to providing affordable and high-quality petroleum products to Nigerians.

The refinery, which is owned by Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has been at the forefront of efforts to increase Nigeria’s refining capacity and reduce its reliance on imported petroleum products.

The reduction in the gantry price is expected to have a ripple effect on the market, with many predicting that it will lead to a decrease in the pump price of petrol across the country. This, in turn, is expected to provide relief to millions of Nigerians who have been struggling with the high cost of living.

Industry experts have hailed the move as a bold step towards making petrol more affordable for Nigerians. “This is a game-changer for the industry,” said one expert. “The reduction in the gantry price will not only make petrol more affordable for Nigerians but also increase demand and stimulate economic growth.”

The Dangote Refinery, which is one of the largest refineries in Africa, has been in operation since 2022 and has been producing high-quality petroleum products, including petrol, diesel, and kerosene.

The refinery has a production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day and is expected to meet a significant portion of Nigeria’s petroleum needs.
