Muftwang Builds, Renovates 310 Primary Schools to Standardise Basic Education

The Plateau State Government has embarked on a massive construction and renovation project of over 310 primary schools across the state.

The initiative, aimed at enhancing the quality of basic education, is a top priority of Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration.

According to Sunday Amuna, Chairman of the Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the project is designed to provide students with access to modern facilities, enabling them to acquire knowledge and skills that will equip them for future success.

Amuna made this disclosure during the bid opening ceremony for the award of contracts to civil workers, marking the official commencement of the project.

“The Governor Caleb Mutfwang administration recognizes the importance of education as the foundation of a successful society, and it is for this reason that we are investing heavily in the construction and renovation of over 310 schools across the state.

“We are committed to providing our students with the best possible learning environment, and we believe that this project will go a long way in achieving this goal,” Amuna stated.

The SUBEB Chairman emphasized the need for contractors to adhere to high standards in executing the projects, warning that the government will closely monitor the work to ensure that it meets the required specifications. He urged the contractors to prioritize quality and timeliness, stressing that the government’s goal is to deliver functional and safe learning facilities that will benefit the students and the community at large.

The construction and renovation project is expected to have a significant impact on the education sector in Plateau State, providing students with access to modern classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and other essential facilities.

The initiative is also expected to create job opportunities for local contractors, artisans, and labourers, contributing to the state’s economic growth and development.

With the project now underway, the Plateau State Government has demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of education in the state, and stakeholders are eagerly awaiting the completion of the project, which is expected to transform the learning experience for thousands of students across the state.
